"Every
man is said to have his peculiar ambition. Whether it be true
or not, I can say for one that I have no other so great as
that of being truly esteemed of my fellow men, by rendering
myself worthy of their esteem."

FROM
THE EAST (February 2012)
Brethren:
Well
I made it through the first regular communication.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the By-laws
Committee for their work on revising the by-laws, and to thank the
brethren for taking the time during the regular communication to sit
through the readings of the by-laws and for your input on the
proposed changes.
All
of the officers were looking forward to having an Entered Apprentice
Degree at the end of this month, but due to not having Grand Lodge
clearance, we are not able to do so.
We are making preparations to hold the Emergent Communication
at the end of February and welcome all Masons to join us in our
rehearsals.
The
budget was worked on very diligently by the Budge Committee and
finalized. The Treasurer
has copies if any Brethren would like to review.
The rest of the committees have followed up with me and have
been working on their respective tasks at hand.
My intent is not to have the committees sit idle, rather they
will be reporting at every regular communication. If anyone reading
this Trestleboard has an idea for any of the committees, please
feel free to contact me and we will take care of your
concerns / ideas.
February’s
regular communication promises be a great meeting.
Our Stewards will serve dinner at 6:30 pm (chicken marsala)
and the regular communication begins promptly at 7:30 pm.
This month we have the honor of having the Official Visit of
our District Deputy Grand Master, RW Mark E. Carl.
All brethren are welcome to come on out and see the new
officers of your lodge, enjoy a nice dinner and fellowship before
the regular communication. Come
on out brethren, my line officers and I would like to see you.
Peace
and Harmony,
 |
